The Charleston Carnegie Library has started construction on the library addition. This project will increase the capacity of the library to over 21,000 square feet and is scheduled to be completed in January, 2008.
Removal of the old water tower supports, trees, and demolition of old houses started in January and should be completed in March.
There will be 80 new parking spaces created on the west side of the addition upon completion.
